custom jewellery: engagement rings & wedding bands

eternity bands

Eternity rings have been part of our work since 2002, most often as wedding bands and engagement rings. The rings shown here were made for clients; many more can be seen in the portfolio at our gallery in Kalk Bay. Each ring starts with a conversation about your ideas, or we can suggest some of our own. We can set it with your own stones or with stones we find for you. Contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email to arrange an appointment.

CLASSIC ENGAGEMENT RINGS

A classic engagement ring often centres on a single gemstone, and its character tends to guide the rest of the design. Early on, we consider how your ring will be worn: on its own, as both engagement and wedding ring, or later joined by one or more bands. Planning for this from the start allows a future ring to sit closely alongside the first. A diamond is only one possibility; sapphire and topaz offer durable alternatives in a wide range of colours. Choosing a stone and setting is as much about daily life as appearance. We look at the hardness and durability of each gemstone, and at how you use your hands at work, during sport and in everyday life, to arrive at a design made to be worn and lived with.

BLACK DIAMONDS: THE CONTEMPORARY ALTERNATIVE

Our black diamond engagement rings are among our most distinctive pieces: sculptural, contemporary and unmistakably ANPA. The stone has a mysterious depth that feels both modern and timeless. Its more accessible price means you can choose a bolder stone without compromise. Pavé-set in red gold, the dark sparkle and warm metal play off each other beautifully.

MOKUME GANE: ONE OF A KIND | His & Hers

For more than 20 years, our studio has specialised in mokume gane, a metalworking technique first developed in 17th-century Japan. The name means “wood-grain metal”. Layers of different coloured metals are fused into a solid block, then carved, twisted and forged to reveal flowing patterns that look like wood grain or water. We can shape the character of each pattern, but its final form is always partly decided by the metal itself. No two rings are ever the same, which makes mokume gane a natural choice for engagement and wedding bands for her and for him. Each one is truly one of a kind.
