wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Since 2002, our Kalk Bay studio has created jewellery shaped by a love of gemstones, a passion for the unusual and a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Andreas Betzold founded ANPA in 2001, together with Patrizia Litty, now his wife. A year later, they opened their boutique in Kalk Bay, which grew to include a workshop and a bespoke design studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the years, ANPA expanded with shops in Cape Town and Franschhoek. In time, however, Andreas chose to return to what he loves most: designing. Rather than managing a growing company, he brought ANPA home to Kalk Bay, where it is today a focused, independent brand centred on his craft and his bespoke work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:54px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-794e3cfa wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Andreas Betzold<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-outfit-font-family is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\" style=\"font-style:italic;font-weight:300\">\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;My father took me on walks through the desert and showed me specimens or pointed out small gems. My love for all things glittering was born right there, in that vast and beautiful Namibian landscape<br>\u2014 Andreas Betzold<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Andreas&#8217;s lifelong fascination with gemstones began in his childhood in Namibia. It led to a wish to design jewellery that would do justice to the brilliance and beauty of the stones that had captivated him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His design approach brings together two worlds. His African upbringing is a source of inspiration, while his German heritage shows in his commitment to quality and technical precision. The result is a contemporary aesthetic with a European sensibility, and jewellery that is as well made as it is beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:54px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-794e3cfa wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Patrizia Litty<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-outfit-font-family is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\" style=\"font-style:italic;font-weight:300\">\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I have always considered colours and shapes the essence of my path, whether in fine art or jewellery design.<br>\u2014 Patrizia Litty<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a background in graphic design and fine art, Patrizia was quickly inspired by her husband&#8217;s passion and found the move into jewellery design both exhilarating and fascinating. Setting aside conventional ideas of what jewellery should be, she created free-flowing pieces that capture the essence of their materials. She combined colourful gems, mixed precious metals and unexpected materials such as leather and feathers, bringing a sense of abundance and <em>joie de vivre<\/em> to the collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2021, Patrizia has focused mainly on her work as a visual artist.
